This review is based solely on the parts and service departments.  I bought my Mini used from an individual and not from a dealer. PARTS:   I am a DIY guy.  I am not a mechanic but I am not scared to tackle repairs on a vehicle that do not require major electronic parts.  For instance, I'll do my own brakes, shocks, struts, door actuators, lock motors, etc.  I am not the guy that will attempt to rebuild an engine.The parts department for Mini of Clear Lake is actually located in the building next door at Advantage BMW.  Mini parts are not cheap.  They are, after all, BMW parts so you should not expect them to be cheap.  HOWEVER, this is a "must read" tip.  You can order online directly from Mini of Clear Lake (advantagebmwparts.com) and pick them up at the dealer.  Not only does this save you a substantial amount of money but you also do not have to pay shipping if you are willing to pick it up.  The guys in the parts department are very helpful.  They will even help you on the phone to make sure you are ordering the right part online.  You MUST order online to receive the online price.  They will not match it if you ask at the counter.  Also, you will need to last 7 digits of your VIN to ensure you are getting the correct parts.  SERVICE:  The service department is good about checking for recalls etc when you bring your vehicle in for service.  However, be prepared to pay a premium for work done of your vehicle that is not under warranty.  As I mentioned above, I am a DIY guy so I despise being charged a TON of money for something I am capable of taking care of myself.  I realize that not everyone is willing or able to do it themselves but if you are not able, be prepared to pay through the nose for service.  In addition, anytime you have service done at a dealer (not just here), they have a habit of checking out the entire vehicle looking for things that may need to be fixed.  Many of them are recommendations and can be quite expensive.  Just remember, they are mostly "recommendations."  The work I have had done here has been quality work and they wash your car before you pick it up.  It's nice to have it clean when you get it back.  Nice touch.Bottom Line:  I have been happy with the service I have received from Mini of Clear Lake but like most folks, I don't like the price that comes with it.  I really like the discount I can get by ordering parts online and picking them up at the dealer avoiding delivery charges.

I want to start off by saying this: Never have I been to a car dealership that was so focused on customer service. From top to bottom it's obvious the employees are committed to offering a not so-typical experience. Maybe it's the fact it's Mini, but It's much more than that. From the service department, to the receptionist, and from the sales people to the finance manager. Never ONCE did I feel like some "up" that strolled in, or another guy coming in to get his car serviced. I find it both refreshing and impressive, everyone was polite, and a good mix of casual and professional. The showroom was immaculate, as were the restrooms and car lot.My sales rep was RayRay(Rachel), who never once made me feel like a prospect, but instead answered my questions and went to work for me. After explaining to her my situation, she went above and beyond to meet my needs. The same goes for Scott, the finance manager. They could've both easily been unwilling to help me, but they weren't . In fact they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure I was satisfied and taken care of, Happy, and had all my questions answered. I did not go to Mini of Clear lake to buy a car, but instead had a great experience with hard working, kind staff that bent over backwards to make sure I was taken care of.Because of these reasons, Mini of Clear Lake has earned a customer for life, and I urge anyone within a 300ft radius, that if they're looking to get into one of the funnest cars around, please go to them. You will not regret it.

My experience here was a breath of fresh air compared to my experience at Momentum Mini Cooper. Although there may be a glitch in the programming system upgrade they performed on my car, I am confident that it is something they will take care of. Very friendly and professional. Worth the ease of mind and 50mins commute.Edited 10/23/2017 @ 1:48pmGave them a call and they were able to help me fix my problem (which turned out to be a non-problem) over the phone. Super happy.

Just purchased out 3rd Mini in 4 years. Rachel goes above and beyond to find exactly the RIGHT car for her customers. We had a long list and she came through! Always a pleasure to deal with the great people of Clearlake Mini!
